A beautiful rendition of an Armenian illuminated manuscript. Lusine uses guash paint as she feels it allows her more detailing that with oil paints. Some guash is available in Armenia however Lusine use some specialty colors which are from the U.S. Lusine depicts the painting as if it were done an a skin, magahat, but rather she paints directly on plywood. The plywood measures between 1/4" to 3/8" in thickness depending on the size of the painting.
